Dear Friend of the Kimmies,
Happy New 2016!
We hope that your 2015 has been as fruitful and fulfilling as ours! During 2015, we:
— finished filming and editing the full, 90-minute cut of The Kim Loo Sisters;
— raised over $10,000 on IndieGogo to help pay for our post-production costs;
— won accolades from the Wall Street Journal’s jazz critic for the Kimmies’ singing — as well as had some great interviews in print and on television — including SinoVision TV;
— obtained fiscal sponsorship from New York Foundation for the Arts, making a visible space in the arts for the Kim Loo Sisters for a long while to come, and ensuring that all future donations to The Kim Loo Sisters documentary are tax-deductible;
— were one of five finalists at this year’s prestigious DocPitch Competition at the Paley Center for Media;
— AND wrote, edited, and published Just Us Girls — the official companion book to The Kim Loo Sisters — so we could share over 150 pages of intimate interviews and vintage photographs with you!

Thank you so much for this amazing year!As we say goodbye to 2015, we look forward to for what the New Year has in store. In 2016, we hope to raise the remaining $10k to be able to finally purchase our music licenses, and begin screening The Kim Loo Sisters — in film festivals, to movie distribution companies, and most importantly, for your watching and listening pleasure.
The Kimmies have a lot of additional projects coming up in 2016 — we just can’t say anything about some of them yet. Don’t worry, we’ll share the good news as soon as we can. In the meantime, we are so grateful for all the incredible opportunities we’ve been blessed with this past year, and we’re excited to see what comes next!
